building things that probably shouldn't exist

dev homelab linux self-hosted open-source :3

Hi. I'm RGBToaster, a hobbyist developer and tinkerer from Germany with too many servers and not enough sleep. i spend my time building self-hosted infrastructure, writing scripts nobody asked for, and making my homelab unnecessarily complicated.

passionate about open source, terminal aesthetics, and the philosophical question of whether more RGB actually makes things faster. (it does.)

You can find me all over the Internet, usually going by "RGBToaster" or "RGBToaster299".

It started as a joke username - The Idea of a bad gaming PC with too much RGB. It stuck. Now it's a brand, apparently.
Linux, always. Daily driving EndeavourOS on my PCs and Debian on all servers. I've distro-hopped enough times to have opinions about everything (no LFS and Gentoo tho).
Raspberry Pi 5 4GB (Rev. Proxy, smaller applications), An (now) caseless HP Z400 (16GB RAM, Heavier stuff) and an old Sony Vaio (Promox, random stuff)
Mostly PHP since its the (imo) easiest to deploy if i need an backend.
Studies are inconclusive. My benchmarks are not peer-reviewed. The answer is yes.

VSCodium for everything serious. Nano when I'm SSHed into something.
Matrix is the best way: @rgbtoaster:crystalsky.dev. Email exists too (Note: Since this is hosted on a Homeserver, many Mail Providers block me. And i don't want to use any 3rd Party)
Synthwave, Chillwave and other *wave Genres, Most variations of Rock (Metal, etc), Techno, J-Pop (yes).
